2. Choose quality settings depending on computer performance. Here are some rough ideas of what quality setting to pick (the age and specific type of computer may affect your results):

   • Computers optimized for Video Editing/3D Editing/Gaming should be able to run CinQ in Beautiful quality.

   • Computers optimized for 2D Graphics Editing/Intensive Data Processing should be able to run CinQ in Normal quality.

   • Other computers should run on Simple or Simplest qualities. Test them in turn and pick the one that seems best for you.

3. Select a keyboard layout: the layout name corresponds to the 6 first letters found on the second row of the main section of your keyboard.

4. Enter your account information (username or email and associated password)
   Create a session or join one created by someone else.

5. Select an available character from the list (characters marked in red have been picked by another player and cannot be selected).

Note: CinQ is designed to test your teamwork and communication skills, it is strongly recommended that you use a headset and microphone to communicate with your teammates via voice over IP.

Depending on how the issue manifests itself (for example, if it is a crash to desktop/home, a black screen, or something else), the cause and the solution can vary widely. However, the following troubleshooting steps cover the most common technical issues:

1. The first step is to check if your machine meets the System Requirements for CinQ listed above. If this is not the case, it might be impossible for the game to launch on the current system.

2. If your device does meet the system requirements, but you are still experiencing issues, please read the next answer:

1. First, make sure your device meets the System Requirements for CinQ listed above.

2. Also make sure your device’s operating system is up-to-date.

3. If this did not solve your problem, you should contact us, providing the following information:

   1. A full description of your problem, including as many details as you can.

   2. Which part of CinQ is concerned (the starting screen, the session selection, the in-game menu, exploration, the game's controls, a specific puzzle, …)

   3. A short description of the events/actions that led to the issue:

   4. If you have the means of sharing images, they might help. Here are ways to capture such images:

      • Windows (full screen): Windows Key + PrtScr/ImprÉcrn

      • Windows (part of the screen): Windows Key + Shift + S and select

      • macOS (full screen): Command + Shift + 3

      • macOS (part of the screen): Command + Shift + 4

      • Android: The shortcut may differ based on your phone manufacturer, but the most common is pressing the Power and Volume Down buttons at the same time.

First, please ensure that you have:

• installed CinQ on your device, or have been given access to CinQ Cloud via the browser.

Then, you should launch CinQ on your device of choice, and:

Our teams have optimized CinQ to run as smoothly as possible on various systems, but if you experience performance issues (for example low framerate, screen freezing for a very short time, action slowed down) the following info may help you understand the root cause of the issue and correct the situation:

• An easy way to boost performance is to modify the quality settings. To modify this, restart CinQ and, on the first screen, you will have the possibility to change the quality preset.

• Stopping various other programs and processes on your computer may improve your experience using CinQ, especially programs which require a lot of processing power (photo/video editing software, video games, internet browsers, …).

• If you are using CinQ Cloud, the performance can be heavily dependent on your internet speed, network infrastructure, and connection reliability. We recommend connecting your device using a wired (Ethernet) connection if possible, or ensuring you are using the fastest and most reliable connection you have access to.

Currently, CinQ is available in:

• English

• French (Français)

• German (Deutsche).

CinQ is designed to be best used with a Mouse & Keyboard on Windows and macOS.

On Android, you will see built-in touch controls when relevant, and do not need any external devices.

In the current version of CinQ, controller support is only functional throughout parts of the CinQ experience; we strongly recommend using a mouse and keyboard.

Here is a list of supported controllers and input methods that you can use with CinQ:

• Mouse/Touchpad and Keyboard.

• Microsoft Xbox Gamepad (installing drivers might be necessary in some cases)

• Sony Dualshock 4/5 Gamepad (installing drivers might be necessary in some cases)

• Google Stadia Gamepad (installing drivers might be necessary in some cases)

• Other controllers may work (especially third party Xbox-compatible controllers); however, they are not officially supported. They may also require third-party software, which we cannot provide.

CinQ is designed to test your teamwork and communication skills, so it is strongly recommended that you use a headset and microphone to communicate with your teammates using third-party communication software (Teams, Meet, Slack, Discord, etc.).

However, written chat is available throughout CinQ and will allow you to communicate with your teammates without a microphone and/or speakers/headphones.
